Claudia Jones was born in Kingston, Jamaica and attended the Edna Manley School of Visual Arts.
Her work is on display at several hotels in Negril, Jamaica, including large cutwork murals “Sea Grape” 7’x12’ and “Royal Palm” 7’x12’ at Couples Swept Away.
Since relocating to Petworth with her husband and their daughter, she has taken part in the Felpham Art Trail and will be exhibiting in March at the Oxmarket Galleries in Chichester.
I prefer to work with oils, I have used many mediums like acrylic and glass painting, Charcoal, and have also used household emulsion, gloss and enamel.
Some of the household items i have produced include; place mats, coasters, trays etc.
Popular items have been; room dividing screens and murals.
Commercial work includes; decorated construction site boardings. Hotel murals, friezes, and bar fronts.
